I loved, loved, LOVED working with Cheryl and Ed! I met them during the early months of my pregnancy and up until the day of the wedding, we would joke that Wolfy wasn't allowed to be born until the day after.

It was fun to joke about until the actual day of the wedding and then it was game time. I gave Jules a pep talk that morning as we were loading up the trucks, "not today nugget. you can come tomorrow, but not today-ok?". And then off we were on our day long event. I think I held my breath from 9 am to 6 pm that day, until the final candle was lit! Being that this was one of the biggest events we had last year (45 tables I think?? plus 10 bridesmaids, 44 sponsors, etc...!!) I stuck around a little longer to make sure everything was ok. Of course everything went smoothly- this girl had the day planned down to the minute! Things went off without a hitch and I even managed to squeeze in a shower and nap before returning at 1230 to clean up.

All in all, a beautiful wedding. Thanks guys for being so easy and awesome to work with. :)

p.s. I still got 2 weddings in before Jules was born after C+E's wedding. Talk about nuts!)

super, duper big thank you to danielle and andy for this wedding. they had to put up with the following shenanigans:
1. tornado warning and violent a.m. storm (which means SOAKED packing up of the trucks)
2. late wedding party (meaning late reception set up as we had to pin the party)
3. yelling by campus security as we drove alll over the grounds because the streets were under construction
4. having to run back and forth (appox. 1/4 mile each way) about 10 dozen times from the ceremony site to the reception site because we couldn't catch a break with the provided golf carts
5. centerpieces locked in the ceremony site after security thought we were done (those campus phones ring to nowhere!!)
6. me 8 months pregnant and BOSSY (translate:hungry)the entire time.

But all in all, you have to believe me when I say that the day was absolutely perfect. The clouds opened up to perfect clear skies, we finished everything with plenty of time to spare, the party looked beau-ti-ful and everyone had an amazing time. Perfect day.

look at the subie go! we got rid of the VW and now I get to tote stuff around in wicked fast style with the STI. to be honest, it's pretty scary. 6 gears for a girl who is used to eating/applying make up/talking on the phone while driving, it's a little fast. now i consiously have to be good; serves me right with the baby coming.

these were for vanessa who married a great guy from jersey, after just a year of dating. when you know, you know, right? These are the centerpieces without the blue dendrobiums or the pilsner vases they were to be placed on- which i added at the venue. the subie swallowed 12 of these- can you believe it?

* I really thought I would have a hard time with the weight thing when I got pregnant. I really think all women do, but something about have no control over your body for 9 months was really the most nerve racking thing about the whole situation.

After numerous hours spent looking in the mirror at my new body, I think I can say I am amazed. Sometimes I look down at my belly in the shower and it kid of freaks me out that there is something LIVING in there- then she moves and I remember "oh yeah, it's Juliette- duh" and then life proceeds like normal. Or maybe I walk past a mirror, catch a glimpse and walk back. Who is this person? It's all so round and squishy and blotchy (yeah- blotchy too) and as much as I think I know my body, I really don't. It changes every day. It is for sure the coolest thing I have ever done. Also the strangest. Sorry Munch- but when you read this in a few years, and more maybe when you are pregnant yourself, you will realize how crazy the whole thing is.

I can't wait for these professional pics to come. This wedding was an absolute dream; from the nicest, most sincere and loving bride and groom to getting to see Mom tear up on their wedding day- it was so very heartfelt. I can't believe how lucky we are to get to meet such amazing people through this business, it really is the best! Meghan and Tony said- we like pretty, feminine, vintage and eclectic- go with it. See? Who wouldn't want to work with them? So I'll patiently wait for those pics ;) but in the meantime, here a a few we took before we whisked them out the door.

What a fun lady- she had her bestest friends get together to learn to prepare a meal -from beginning to end- by a professional chef, then ate it afterwards. Such a cute idea! Each lady then got to take a tablepiece and bud vase home; I LOVE when people actually take the flowers home, it saves me from schlepping them back AND who doesn't like flowers?

but we've had three weddings and two bridal showers and 7 samples in the meantime so I have lots of pics. I like calling her by her proper name. She's so nice and tiny and musically inclined and really such a lady. I was pretty pumped she asked me to do flowers for a shower since I trust her taste (as much as my own) so here they are- samples for a lovely bride she is "showering".

On another note, I've been a pretty crappy blogger so sorry about that. We've been busy planning and hosting our SECOND Annual 5k for Backbones, the Non-profit Spinal Cord Injury Foundation that we started last year. It was ammmmaaaaaazzzinnnng! such a great turn out. Just, just- perfect.

Met with such a great couple today- Lilia and Dan! She's as cute as a button at a whopping 5'0" and highly organized and he likes dark beer and amaryllis- my kind of people.

When I found out that they've been dating/engaged long distance for a while now, I felt such a love for them. Shane and I did that for a year and a half while he lived in Cleveland and it was the hardest thing to do.

There is something to say about the romance of airport security lines....

First, I got ranunculus AND poppies for 6 bucks. Don't know how, but I wasn't going to ask (I suspect donuts for the wholesaler is appreciated). Just say thank you and keep moving.

THEN, I get home and unwrap them to make samples. Je-sus.
Absolutely perfect. Shane laughed when I said it was like floral porn but really, I could not stop staring. Heart was racing, breath shortened, I think my palms were sweaty and then I had to work with the things. Full on heart attack so I just sat for a minute and stared.

Just awesome. God is a pretty cool dude.

Finally I finished and had some remnants (yay!) so fighting off brutus and ranger from them is going to be hard but totally worth it. I think I'll make a bout for me to wear everyday this week...

Lessons learned:

1. Always make twice as many buttonholes as agreed; there are always 10 extra cousins.

2. Extension cords and venti americanos should be in floral emergency kits.

3. Milk to flour ratio for crepes is very important.

4. Do not rely on your camera phone alone for pictures, doesn't matter if it's 10 mega pixels, it's still a camera PHONE.

5. Getting a smooch first thing in the morning makes your day a lot better.

(like the floral tape on my sleeve?)

(neat little trick with the bouts in the back: wire, wrap and tie them, but leave the stem long until you have to cut it to pin)

I do- I love when I finally get a few pics from your wedding and they aren't posed as to remind me of high school senior portraits. These were actually taken by the Bride's super cool uncle (which in my opinion were nicer than...nevermind).

Doesn't he look so happy? I remember being that excited that I could finally live with Shane.

So speaking of happy, here is a recipe for the most amazing little cake pops EVER.
